Meal Package: $70 for Six Hearty Delicious Meals

(Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner and Sunday breakfast & lunch) 

New this year at the WHC, we are providing a separate meal package. Participants can choose to buy a delicious meal package that includes 6 meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch & dinner and Sunday breakfast & lunch) or purchase meals from food vendors. Meal Package will be plentiful, wholesome and delicious and based on a flexitarian menu and will include a variety of protein options (fish, chicken and vegetarian), locally sourced vegetables, and whole grains.

Although the menu is not yet finalized, you can expect fresh breads, local eggs, yogurt, granola, a variety of local and seasonal fresh fruits and veggies along with top quality chicken, tofu, soups, salads and vegetarian options. In addition, there will be a full selection of herbal teas available during the day and coffee at breakfast. Sample menu will be available by early June.

We are thrilled to announce we have hired Chef Amath Ngom of Camp Wicosuta to head the kitchen this year. When not cooking for Camp Wicosuta and managing their large busy kitchen during their summer sessions, Chef Amath cooks at his family restaurant in Africa. He brings not only his unique touch and flair to the kitchen to ensure our expectations for excellent food are exceeded, but also brings his skill at feeding large numbers of people with ease and joy.

Meal Package is $70 for Six Hearty Delicious Meals.

For Children 12 and under the meal package is $35.

* Meal package must be purchased in advance.

Please note; There are a limited number of Meal Packages available (400) so purchase early. 

Food Vendors

We will also have Food Vendors at the WHC this year for those who don’t purchase meal tickets.

Food Vendors & Meal Package at the WHC, 2017

The Food Vendors did such a great job last year, we’ve invited them back again.   Though menus may change somewhat, they will be similar to last year’s food choices, which are listed below. For updated menus for 2017, check back after August 1st.

Tulsi Tea Room ~ a popular café and tea room located in Montpelier, Tulsi Tea Room offers delicious vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals, snacks and hot drinks ~ Solenne Thompson, Tulsi Tea Room

  • Idli Sambar – a south Indian curried red lentil soup with vegetables and rice and lentil flour sourdough dumplings.
  • Dosa – red lentil and rice flour sourdough pancake, served with one or more chutneys: herb, carrot ginger or tamarind
  • Tulsi Treats: a variety of whole food sweet treats made with honey and maple syrup. Gluten free with nuts, dried berries, grains, coconut and tea.
  • House Chai with Assam black tea, Indian spices, milk & honey.
  • Medicinal Mushroom Chai – chaga, birch polypore, turkey tail and reishi. Optional: milk & maple.
  • Iced Chai and other iced teas

Woodbelly Pizza & Salads  ~ These pizza’s are phenomenal and rank among Vermont’s favorite pies. Woodbelly brings a selection of the best seasonal ingredients to deliver a variety of pies topped with locally and seasonally inspired toppings.  Salad ingredients are locally sourced, farm grown, and organic.

The Accidental Caterer ~ based out of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, the Accidental Caterer creates locally inspired craft food that has roots in a wide selection of ethnic cuisine. This weekend we will be offering a menu that focuses on organic and local ingredients brought to you in simple, nourishing and delicious foods. All our offerings will be vegetarian and gluten free ~ Elise Goldman, Accidental Caterer

  • For breakfast we will offer Overnight Organic Steel Cut Oats with local, handmade yogurt and fresh fruit.
  • For lunch and dinner you can plan on a variety of wholesome one-pot dishes like kitchari and Moroccan style chickpeas with fresh vegetable accompaniments.

Friday Breakfast ~ For those arriving on Thursday evening, a couple of the Food Vendors will be serving breakfast food. Breakfast will also be served in the Dinning Hall from 7-8:30, $6 per person; exact change please or checks made payable to Camp Wicosuta (credit cards not accepted)

Camp Wicosuta Meal Package

This is the menu that was served at last year’s WHC. This year’s Meal Package will be similar, though there may be a few additions and changes. For the finalized menu check back August 1.  If interested in purchasing the Meal Package ($70 for all 6 meals), reserve early as Meal Packages do sell out.

Friday Dinner;

Saturday Breakfast

  • Toast/Jam:  Coffee & Tea

Saturday Lunch

  • Minestrone and Lentil Soups
  • Hummus served with Pita Bread & Pita Chips
  • Sandwich & Salad Bar

Saturday Dinner  

  • Yassa, an authentic Senegal dish (both vegetarian and chicken version)
  • Jasmine Rice
  • Grilled portabella mushrooms
  • Salad Bar & Bread
  • Chloe’s Fruit in Cups for dessert

Sunday Breakfast

  • Hot & cold cereal including oatmeal & Wico Crunch
  • Eggs; scrambled & Poached
  • Grilled Tofu
  • Yogurt & Fruit bar
  • Toast/Jam; Coffee & Tea

Sunday Lunch

  • Falafel burgers
  • Salad Bar w/Quinoa, Toubli and Pasta Salads
  • Sandwich Bar w/variety of fillings (vegetarian & meat choices)
  • Hummus served w/Pita Bread & Pita Chips
