The Women’s Herbal Conference features a great variety of workshops for all levels of interest and experience. Workshops focus on women’s health, herbal crafts, medicine making, plant identification walks and many hands-on demonstrations. Included also is an amazing evening of women talent, a great barter faire, ceremonial mask making, the annual henna party, canoeing, and many other joyful, playful and inspiring events!
- Dr. Rosita Arvigo
Rosita is a naprapathic physician, herbalist, international lecturer, and author. She is the recipient of The Earth Aware award (2003) from Wings Trust. She has lived in Central America for the past thirty years where she studied with various traditional healers including the renowned Maya shaman of Belize, Don Elijio Panti. She is the author of several books including Sastun, Rainforest Remedies, and Spiritual Bathing.

Dr. Mary Louise Bove is an herbalist, naturopathic physician, and educator who maintains a busy family practice in Brattleboro, VT. She obtained her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Midwifery Certification from Bastyr University, WA and a Diploma of Phytotherapy at the School of Phytotherapy in Great Britain. Mary is the author of the Encyclopedia of Natural Healing for Children and Infants and co-author of Herbs for Women’s Health.

- Bevin Clare
Bevin Clare is a practicing herbalist, plant lover, nutritionist and world traveler. She is Chair of the Herbal Division of the Master of Science in Herbal Medicine at Tai Sophia, MD, where she teaches and has a clinical practice. Bevin holds a MS in Infectious Disease from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, is on adjunct faculty as the Mas-sachusetts College of Pharmacy, and serves on the board of directors of United Plant Savers and the American Herbalists Guild.

- Amanda McQuade Crawford
Amanda has studied healing with nature around the world, learning from plants, ayahuasqueros, and curanderas, as well as physicians at home and abroad. She earned her degree in Phytotherapy from Britain’s College of Phytotherapy and a BA in Medieval History from Vassar College. Amanda is the author of two popular books on women’s health, The Herbal Menopause Book and Herbal Remedies for Women. Her most recent adventure has been as the host of “What a Relief,” a TV series dedicated to holistic health.

Lilian is the owner of Wilder Hill Gardens in Conway, MA. She became a R.N. in 1991 and studied horticulture at the University of CT. She writes a gardening column, “The View from Wilder Hill” and is the author of “Holistic Protocol for Nervous System Health”.
